Empty hands, or only a few loaves, and fish, a little oil, a grasping, flailing hope to touch the hem of his garment in the midst of long suffering…He makes it enough.
It is not our thing-nesses that we can bring, it is not our own enough-ness that makes it work. It is faithfulness that says “here’s what I’ve got”, and “here’s what I don’t got”, but I press on because I know that You only need to speak to create something new. You form my desire like clay in your hand into enough-ness, into well-ness, into oil that heals and bread that fills and wholeness after much suffering from many doctors.
That’s why I wrote my book, as a viewfinder and a tool in this true story, better than fairytale. Us moms need the reminding, we are beloved, we are enough, because He makes it so. No better place to be reminded than in His Presence and He’s inviting us to draw near.
